"A Blaze of Glory"

This painting is of an old logging road in the Connecticut hills behind the house where I used to live. The logging road had long since been abandoned, except for the deer. My dog & I used to walk it frequently... in the Fall it just glowed with glorious color!!!
Where the old logging road took a curve to the left, we often went straight ahead, through the brush that you see under the yellow foliage, and followed a deer path that went to a wonderful little brook. The brook was at the foot of a small mountain, and there was the most wonderful little waterfall with the brook babbling over it. I'm sure that's why the deer path... their avenue to the brook!
