"Winter in Connecticut"

This was the winter view from the kitchen door when we lived in the lovely Litchfield Hills of Northwest Connecticut.  I loved the view in every season, especially that old birch tree, but my favorite time to gaze out into the woods was in the winter with several feet of snow covering the ground and piling up on the deck until it was half way up the door!
