I began painting about 30 years ago, trying out about every medium I could get my hands on. My journey through the years to create works of art for family, friends and clients has been a wonderful one... one filled with challenges and solace, excitement and comfort. Mostly, it has been a journey of growth. My favorite subjects are always ones that are rich with color, and have a meaning to the viewer... perhaps they tell a story, perhaps they bring back a memory, perhaps they bring a feeling of excitement, or perhaps they just bring a feeling of calm and peace.

My newfound love in my artful journey is pastels!! Painting with pastels is such a tactile, intimate experience... it both soothes and excites me each time I create a new piece with these brilliant little jewels! Each stroke goes directly from my hand to my chosen surface, no tools to interfere, and the feel of the pastel as it glides onto the surface is indeed a rush! The color is pure and can be smoothly blended or full and rich with texture. If you have never owned an original pastel, you have been missing a great joy for your senses and a delightful, lasting piece of art to grace your home or office!
